NATIONAL SUMMARY
Slow-moving thunderstorms can bring flooding downpours in
southwestern North Carolina, far western South Carolina and
portions of Georgia tomorrow. A bit farther to the south,
some of the storms may also contain isolated damaging wind
gusts in the Florida Panhandle and northern and central
Florida Peninsula. Monsoon thunderstorms will continue to
pose a flood threat in southern Colorado and the
northwestern half of New Mexico. Elsewhere, a corridor of
thunderstorms is expected to rumble through eastern portions
of Minnesota and Iowa, much of Wisconsin and northwestern
Illinois. Well-above-normal temperatures will be found from
the valleys of California to the Pacific Northwest. Intense
heat will bake the southern Plains and lower Mississippi
Valley.
