The Milford Fencing Club held its 3rd annual Spring Classic Fencing Tournament on June 17 at the Orchard Hills School, during which local fencers from ages 10 to18 competed in 34 full electronically-scored bouts in two divisions. After a highly competitive night of fencing, first place in the Junior Mixed Foil division went to Hannah Penkacik, followed by runners-up Sumanth Kondapalli and Travis Deer. In the Senior Mixed Foil Division, first place went to Ben Kissinger, followed by runners-up Zach Bilcheck and Cellan Whaley. The club is also announcing open registration for the summer session starting on Monday, July 8 at 7 p.m.\u00a0 at the Tri-Beach Rec Center in Milford. Beginners are welcome, and the cost is $15 per night, which includes all gear and expert instruction. The Milford Fencing Club offers local classes accessible to all, ages 10 to adult, with expert instruction in both foil and epee.
