In a rematch of opening day, Chelsea jumped out to a dominant first half led offensively by Caden Piselli, Tye Haley and Jackson Doyle in Milford United Soccer Club U8 action.

The trio were assisted by the defensive performances of Tyler Davis, Jack Mcinnis, Dean O’Donnell, James Phillips, William Riedel and Julian Sevillano.

However, after the intermission Everton returned the favor as Jacob Collette, Jake Hanson, Marko Joksovic, Aidan Lam, Daniel Hulme and Oliver Sawitsky put forth stellar defensive efforts and were paced offensively by William LeCuyer (4 goals, 2 assists) and Declan Wywoda (3 goals, 3 assists).

The Everton club was able to return the favor and shut down Chelsea for most of the second half, but alas, it was not enough as Chelsea was able to hold off Everton in the end.

Both clubs are to be commended for their efforts and sportsmanship that was displayed throughout the contest.

This sets up an exciting exhibition rematch (weather permitting), which will take place at halftime of Jonathan Law’s boys soccer match vs Daniel Hand today at 5:30.
