U8 players earn spots on Jr. Major tourney team

The Milford Junior Major League recently held tryouts for its U8 Tournament Team. Tryouts were open to all 7- and 8-year-olds in the Rookie Division.

Teams players are: Declan Wywoda/Nationals; Jake Stash/Nationals; Matt Galligan/Yankees; Cal Wrigley/Rangers; Alex Rodriguez/Rangers; Justin Gentallan/Nationals; Steven Witteman/Nationals; Ryan Giambra/Yankees; Matthew Stevens/Rays; Benjamin Britton/Red Sox; Luis Lozada/Braves; Andre Peterson/Rays; Jack Thomas/Rangers; William LeCuyer/Braves and Ryan  Grzywacz/Yankees.

MJML has tabbed  the Nationals’ Adam Stash as manager. Team coaches are Steve Giambra/Yankees; Duane Galligan/Yankees; Mike Wywoda/Nationals; Dave Rodriguez/Rangers; Matt Schoonmaker/Braves and Steve Stevens/Rays.

The team is currently scheduled to compete in two tournaments this summer: the 8th annual Carl Burdick Coach Pitch Tournament, which is held at the end of June; and the Bethwood Friendship Tournament, which is slated for July.

The team has secured sponsorship from Papas Pizza I and II, Total Lawn Care and More LLC.
