Nationals upend revamped Marlins

The Junior Major League Rookie Marlins hosted the Nationals at John Francis Field.

When the Marlins took the field Friday night they appeared to be shorthanded, but with the help of Rays’ players Matthew and Nicholas Stevens the Marlins gave the Nationals just about all they could handle

The Marlins were led offensively by the Stevens brothers, Sheehan Munim and Anthony Tranquilli.

The Nationals offensive attack was spearheaded by Justin Gentallan and Jake Stash, who had consecutive triples that carried all the way to the new fence.

Sure-handed first baseman Declan Wywoda led the way defensively, with assistance from Carmelo Nunno and Stephen Witteman Jr.
