Jr. Major Orioles defeat Nationals

In Milford Junior Major baseball action, the Mustang Orioles took on the Nationals with Orioles prevailing 7-3.

The Orioles scored one run in the top of the first, with Josh Baker getting a single and Devin Soracco following with a single to knock him in.

In the bottom of the first, the Nationals scored twice to take the lead.

In the top of the second, Josh Bacon scored on a ground out by Alex Pikul to tie it up.

The Nationals answered with a run in the bottom of the third to take the lead 3-2.

Freddy Rosero led off the fifth for the Orioles with a towering home run to right field to tie up the score at three.

The Orioles went on to score three more times in the inning, to take the lead 6-3.

In the top of the sixth, Joey Mester lead off with a walk and advanced to second on a wild pitch, which brought up Rosero,who then ripped a bullet to centerfield for a two-out double.

The Orioles received outstanding pitching from Goulden and Baker.
