Indians win pair in Minor Division baseball

The 7-1 Matties Service Center Indians defeated the Who’s Your Doggie LLC Royals in a May 8 encounter.

After being held scoreless and hitless for three innings the Indians put on offensive display.

The Indians’ offense was led by Ryan Bull, Kian McEnerney, Johnathon Peterson, Jayson Cruz and Sheehan Munim.

Cruz and McErnerey pitched the full game, scattering five runs over six innings.

Jack Cushman was the star for the Royals. Cushman pitched three shutout innings and also contributed offensively with a home run and four RBIs.

The Indians defeated the Home Arts System Braves, 12-2, on May 3.

Cal Wrigley led off the first inning with a single to center field. Major Peterson followed with a hit to center knocking in the first run of the game.

McEnerney singled to center and Cruz capped off the inning with a two-run double to left field.

Munim had an RBI single to left field in the second inning, while Wrigley hit a double into centerfield to continue his hitting streak.

Liam Fedigan bunted in a run in the third inning.

Cruz, Wrigley and Fedigan each pitched for the Tribe, combining to give up three hits and two runs.

Dallas Fassanella, Mike Cosmas and Riley Hodges pitched for the Braves.

In the second inning, Cosmas had a single to centerfield with Julien Roy hitting him home. Cosmas also had a triple in the fourth inning scoring a run.
