The 3rd annual Hoops for the Troops Basketball Clinic will be held on Sunday, Sept. 11, at the Parsons Gym from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The clinic is for boys and girls age 7-15 and the cost is $25.

Players can register online at hoopskillsbasketball.com.

All proceeds will go to United for the Troops, a non-profit organization that sends care packages to U.S soldiers serving overseas.

This year’s event will be honoring Milford first responders.

Clinic organizer Joe Meade, a retired New York City police officer, is inviting all Milford police officers and firefighters to be part of the two-hour event.

Meade is the director of Hoopskills Basketball and is currently a college scout for the NBA’s Utah Jazz.

Enrollment is limited to the first 80 paid registrations and each player will get a brand new camouflage basketball.

The activities will include plenty of contests, raffles and prizes.
