The Milford International Little League 10U District All-Star softball team used its hot bats and the no-hit pitching of Judy Tarczali in its 11-1 defeat of Annex Little League Wednesday night at Foran High School field.

Milford (3-1) will host Orange on Friday at 5:30 at Foran High with the winner gaining home field advantage for the No. 2 seed versus No. 3 match up in the District semifinals.

Teagan Garfield led off the game with a single and stolen base and advanced to third on Angelina Robinson’s bunt single. Grace Hess drilled a triple to deep center scoring Garfield and Robinson.

Mya Dawid and Judy Tarczali followed with RBI singles making it 5-0.

Lauren Worzel then worked a walk and stole second and came around to score on Emily Krauss’ RBI single making it 6-0 MILL heading into the bottom of the first.

Tarczali struck out two of the three batters she faced in the inning to keep the score at 6-0.

The bats continued for MILL in the second, as Robinson drilled a single up the middle and stole second. Hess followed with an RBI single as did Dawid.

Worzel then hit an infield fly that was dropped scoring Hess to make it 8-0. Krauss plated Dawid with an RBI ground out to give MILL a 9-0 lead.

In the bottom of the second, Tarczali struck out the first two batters she faced before inducing a groundout to third baseman Erin Donegan to end the inning.

In the MILL third, Garfield worked a one out walk and stole second. Nora Hayes laid down a perfectly executed bunt single moving Garfield to third. Hess drove in Garfield and Hayes with another RBI single upping the lead to 11-0 MILL.

Annex was able to push across a run in the bottom of the third after a one-out walk and stolen base.

From there Tarczali would settle in picking up three of her game-high 10 strikeouts giving MILL its third win in a row.
