The Angels’ Rich Piscetilli, Andrew Janik and Bryan Pepe pitched well, striking out 12 Pirates batters giving up three hits a fielder’s choice and three walks over six innings in an MILL contest.
John Ross pitched well for the Pirates, striking out seven batters.
The Angels offense was led by Piscetilli, who was 3-for-3 on the night with two stolen bases, three runs and two RBI off an in-the-park home run.
Lucas Burgard (two hits, two RBI), Casey Coon (hit), David Torgerson (hit, walk) and Joshua Vellard (hit) led the Angels offense.
