The Milford Recreation Department has limited availability for new teams in its Adult Golf League at the Orchards. Registration is ongoing and is for teams only (no individual registration accepted) on a first-come first-serve basis until the league maximum is met or April 1, whichever comes first. The league is open to Milford residents or Milford Company teams. The entry fee is $52 per team payable to the City of Milford. Each player will also be responsible for paying the established 2015 greens fee (not yet determined as of this release) to The Orchards Golf Course. Registration is now available online at milfordrecreation.com, create a free household account and pay by credit card; check are also accepted via mail or in-person. The league will play on Thursday afternoons. New teams will be assigned tee times based upon availability between 4 and 4:30 p.m. The format and length of season will be determined based upon the number of teams that register, but likely to begin in early to mid-April and conclude in August. New players will start with a six-handicap. Handicaps will be modified weekly. Teams are required to submit the City of Milford roster\/ waiver of liability form prior to its first match.
