The June 29 registration deadline for the 24th annual ShopRite Nutmeg State Games is quickly approaching.

“We are very excited for our third year in the great city of New Britain,” Patrick Fisher, Executive Director of the Connecticut Sports Management Group, Inc., said. “ We are expecting another solid turn out this year.”
More than 6,000 athletes, 1,500 volunteers and 15,000 spectators will be convening in New Britain and throughout the Hartford County area July 21-July 29.
The Games consist of 22 different sport competitions, which include team and individual sporting events.
Team sports offered include baseball, basketball, fast-pitch softball, flag football, field hockey, ice hockey, lacrosse, roller hockey, rugby 7’s, soccer and wiffleball.
All team sport tournaments will be a round robin/pool play format.
The ShopRite Nutmeg State Games is an open competition that any team made up of Connecticut residents can enter.
Individual sports available will include archery, cycling criterium, fencing, figure skating, golf, gymnastics, judo, shooting, swimming, track & field, and wrestling.
