DeLaGarza nominated for NCAA Woman of the Year

Midland High grad and Dallas Baptist University senior golfer Faith DeLaGarza has been nominated for the NCAA Woman of the Year.

The NCAA Woman of the Year, in its 32nd year, honors the academic achievements, athletics excellence, community service and leadership of outstanding female athletes across all three NCAA divisions.

DeLaGarza led the Patriots to the program’s first-ever NCAA Division II national championship in 2021, is a three-time Women’s Golf Coaches Association All-American and a four-time WCGA All-American Scholar.

NCAA will eventually narrow down the nominee list to 10 in each of the NCAA’s three divisions and then pick three finalists from each division for a total of nine. The NCAA Woman of the Year will be chosen from the nine finalists.
