Thirteen teams have qualified for the 2015 Southern Connecticut Conference girls basketball playoffs, where 11 of the 13 seeds are finalized. Defending champion Mercy is the top seed. There is one regular-season game (Guilford at Daniel Hand, Feb. 17, 5 p.m.) that will determine the 8th and 9th seeds (Cheshire and Guilford) and who will host the first-round game on Thursday, Feb. 19. Lauralton Hall at #5, will host #12 North Haven and Jonathan Law, the #6 seed, will host #11 Hillhouse High from New Haven on Thursday at 7 p.m. The quarterfinals will take place on Saturday at Sheehan High in Wallingford. With wins, Lauralton Hall will meet the Sheehan\/Sacred Heart Academy winner at 11:45 a.m., while Law would take on #3 Daniel Hand from Madison at 3:15. The semifinals will be at Jonathan Law on Monday at 6 and 7:45 p.m. The championship game is Wednesday, Feb. 25, at the TD Back Sports Center at Quinnipiac University at 7 p.m.
