Wrestling: Ryan Luth New England runner-up
Foran High sophomore Ryan Luth placed second at 132 pounds at the New England wrestling championship on Saturday at the Providence Career and Technical Center in Rhode Island.
Tim Kane from Fairfield Warde topped Luth, 8-4, in the finals.
Luth defeated Abe Bloom from Moses Brown (R.I.), 6-3, in his semifinal match.
Kane had advanced with a 12-0 major decision in his semifinal bout.
Luth was fourth in New England’s last year and is 111-11 in his two-year career.
Kane, 46-0 this season as a junior, has a career record of 134-6, was third at New England’s last season and is now a two-time state and State Open champion.
