Foran High won three of four matches at the Foran Duals on Saturday.

Coach Dave Esposito’s Lions (31-4), ranked No. 9 in the Connecticut Wrestling Online’s Top 10 high school wrestling poll, defeated Amity (58-17), Greenwich (41-31), Stratford (78-6) and lost to No. 11 Killingly (44-30).

In the match with Killingly (25-3), Ethan Edmondson at 145 pounds, Reilly Barry at 152 pounds, K.J. Pokornowski and Nolan Bannon at 220 pounds, recorded pins. Jacob Papazoglou was awarded a forfeit at 195 pounds.

Bannon, who moved up a weight class in the match with the Redmen, was perfect on the day at 195 pounds with wins of 1:18, 8-1 and 1:33.

Edmondson pinned in 47 seconds, scored a 15-5 major decision, and a forfeit.

K.J. Pokornowski went unbeaten with two wins unopposed and a pin in 2:52.

Billy Ives at 195 won his three bouts at 195 — pins in 5:49 and 2:20 and a forfeit.

Pat Rescanski pinned in 1:34 and 2:25 in the first two heavyweight bouts.

Phillip Boyles scored a 1:36 fall against Stratford at heavyweight.

Kyle Pokornowski won 10-0 (Greenwich), 1:20 (Stratford) and forfeit (Amity) at 120 pounds.

Umer Khan at 170 pinned in 40 seconds versus Greenwich and won unopposed against Stratford.

Barry also had pins in 23 seconds (Amity) and 1:18 (Stratford).

At 138 pounds, Tyler Stanko had wins by 10-2 decision (Amity) and by 1:09 fall (Stratford).

At 16 pounds, Jordan Lang pinned in 53 seconds (Amity) and Mark Fitzgerald in 2:42 (Stratford).

Anthony DiPietro pinned in 36 seconds against Greenwich.

Foran will compete for the SCC championship this weekend at Jonathan Law.
