The Foran High football team posted the game’s first four touchdowns and then traded scores with Sheehan of Wallingford to record a 41-14 SCC victory over the Titans at the Vito DeVito Sports Complex on Friday night.

Jake Kasuba threw for three touchdowns, as coach Jeff Bevino’s Lions improved to 2-1.

Andrew Melendez opened the scoring with a 4-yard run, and Sam Olsson kicked the first of his five PATs. A 1-yard run by Melendez gave Foran a two-score lead after one period.

Kasuba then connected with Zach White on a 7-yarder and Sean Deegan from 42 yards out to extend the lead to 27-0.

Jeremy Gannon got on the board for Sheehan (1-2) with a 1-yard run to make it 27-6 at the half. Kasuba found White for a 27-yard touchdown in the third period and Connor Cadrin scored on a 4-yard run in the final quarter.

Jonathan Law lost to Hillhouse of New Haven, 41-14, on Sept. 27

Coach Mark Robinson’s Lawmen (0-3) will play host to Hamden High (2-1) at 7 p.m. on Friday.

Jonathan Law defeated West Haven High, 93-90, on Sept. 24.

Coach Melanie Paolini’s 200 medley relay team of Angelica Jamie Loma, Elizabeth Gregorio, Phoebe Herbert and Taylor Keramis took first in 2:14.03.

Loma was first in the 200 IM (2:30.00) and 100 backstroke (1:06.66), Herbert won the 50 freestyle (28.97), Kelsey Kopazna was best at diving (154.95), Elizabeth Fowler took the 100 freestyle (1:10.58) and Gregorio won the 100 breaststroke (1:22.93).

Law defeated Kennedy High of Waterbury, 98-81, on Sept. 26. Loma (200 IM and 100 backstroke) and Kailee Tierney (200 freestyle and 500 freestyle) posted a pair of individual wins.

Loma, Gregorio, Herbert and Keramis placed first in the 200 medley relay.

Herbert, Danica Wens, Mathilda Hill and Tierney were best in the 200 freestyle relay.
