Sarah Barrett captured first place in the pole vault and Zinnia Hall was best in the javelin throw when coach Rick Raucci’s Foran High girls track team placed 10th in the SCC East Sectional won by Shelton High in Woodbridge on Monday.

Barrett’s winning vault of 8-0 bettered her seed of 7-6.

Hall won the javelin with a 108-02, was fifth in the shot put at 32-10 (seed of 31-00) and took 26th in the discus (59-11).

Elizabeth Gallaburri was sixth in the long jump of 15-4, a foot better than her seed.

Yasmina Lingane, Stephanie Lopez, Sarah Barrett and Gallaburri took eighth in 1:03.56.

Arianna Chen, Maggie Cummings, Erin Dillman and Samantha Inthalpanya placed seventh in the 4x800 relay (11:40.70).

Galaburri, Lopez, Abilgail Huebner and Tessa Malesky were ninth in the 4x400 relay (4:42.87).

Maeve Kiely was 20th in the 300 meter hurdles (57.68).

Inthalpanya was 24th in the 800 meter run (2:51.28).

Dillman was 26th in the 800 (2:55.51).

Hannah Buckley was 24th in the discus throw (60-08).

Cummings was 29th in the 800 (3:04.02).
