T.J. Stuart to play baseball at Manhattan College

T.J. Stuart, son of Thomas and Donna Stuart of Milford, has signed a National Letter of Intent to play Division I baseball at Manhattan College (NY) in the fall. The four-year Foran High School varsity player will pursue a degree in marketing.

The right-handed pitcher got his start in the Little League program, playing in the Milford International Little League and the Babe Ruth systems. Stuart later joined the Baseball U Connecticut program and pitched there for three years, in addition to playing at Foran.

A scholar-athlete and a member of the National Honor Society, Stuart is taking a rigorous course load at Foran this year, including several AP and Level 1 courses. Now that the decision-making process is over, however, he admitted he was relieved and is pleased that now he can focus on his studies and on his last baseball season at Foran in the spring.

“I am so fortunate to be in this spot,” Stuart said. “Manhattan is a match that was perfect for me: a school that has an excellent academic program, as well as an excellent athletic program. I am truly grateful. It hasn’t always been easy … And my coaches were always there to help me grow and improve. Again, I am grateful.”
