The Stonehill College baseball team defeated Assumption College,  9-0 in a non-conference match up Sunday night on the campus of Rollins College in Winter Park, Fla.

Junior Zach Soulier out of Jonathan Law pitched a complete game shutout to earn the win for Stonehill.

Soulier gave up five hits and two walks, and struck out six batters in his second win of the season.

Stonehill scored the first run of the game in the opening stanza.

Christian Baglini  of Milford, a Notre Dame-West Haven graduate, hit a lead-off single and advanced to second on a wild pitch.

Baglini scored two batters later when Dan Fratus reached on an error by the third baseman.

The Skyhawks (6-1) extended their lead in the third inning when Fratus hit a two-run single down the right field line to score Baglini and James DeAlto.

Stonehill opened the lead to 9-0 in the sixth. Baglini walked in a run with the bases loaded, DeAlto extended the lead to 7-0 when he hit a two-RBI single to left field, and Fratus followed with a single to score Baglini.
