Softball: Law tops Platt Tech, qualifies for states

The Jonathan Law softball team defeated Platt Tech, 8-1, on Wednesday and with the win coach Melanie Blude’s Eagles qualified for the state tournament.

Erin Harrigan pitched the win for law (8-1), as she allowed only a first-inning run and gave up seven hits.

Law’s Skyler Bender had three hits, including a double, and two RBIs.

Cali Jolley and Gege Romero each had two hits and two runs scored.

Platt Tech’s Julissa Melendez was 3-for-3 with an RBI and Moni Parks had two hits.
