The third-seeded Amity High softball team earned a spot in the SCC final with a 1-0 victory over Jonathan Law on Thursday night at Biondi Field in West Haven.
Sophomore ace Katie Koshes threw a two-hit shutout for the Spartans (18-4) and set the table for the game's lone run with a triple to the left-center field alley in the bottom of the first. After Koshes tripled, courtesy runner Julia Bedini scored on Jenna DiLorenzo's two-out RBI single.
Law, the seventh seed, got singles from Jenna Bernard, who took the loss in the circle, and Stephanie Cameron. Bernard scattered seven hits for the Eagles (15-7).
Amity will make its 11th SCC title game appearance and will face either top-seeded Daniel Hand (17-4) or fourth-seeded Mercy High of Middletown on Saturday at 6 p.m. at Biondi Field.
