Seven Lions find end zone in win over East Haven
The Foran High football team defeated East Haven, 61-21, at the Vito DeVito Sports Complex on Friday night.
With the win, coach Jeff Bevino’s Lions improved to 6-2 on the season. The Easties are 1-6.
Andy Khon, who ran for 106 yards, opened the scoring with a 63-yard run and Sam Olsson tacked on the first of his seven conversion kicks.
Jake Kasuba (288 yards passing) took over from there, as the junior quarterback threw scoring passes to Nick Weissauer (eight yards), Sean Deegan (33 yards), Weissauer (54 yards) and Connor Cadrin (four yards) before running one in from 12 yards out to give Foran a 40-0 lead at the half.
Kevin O’Connor scored on a 19-yard run in the third quarter.
O’Connor scored again with a three-yard run in the final period, and after an Eastie touchdown, Zach White returned the kickoff 80 yards to complete the scoring.
