Timothy Rebentisch went 4-0 on the day when coach Matt Schoonmaker’s Jonathan Law wrestling team competed at the Ledyard Duals on Saturday.

The 5-10 Lawmen lost to 8-2 Ledyard (61-12), South Kingston R.I. (57-12), 3-9 Lyman Memorial (39-33) and 5-0 Simsbury (65-18).

Rebentisch with a win by 1:38 fall at 126 pounds and Sean Berg with a pin in 4:47 at 132 pounds were winners for Law against Ledyard.

Against South Kingston, Ireoluwa Opayemi won a 3-1 decision in his heavyweight bout, Zach Anderson won 8-3 at 106 pounds, Rebentisch scored a 4-2 decision and Berg pinned in 30 seconds.

Anderson at 112 pounds had a pin in 1:31 for Law versus Simsbury. Tyler Francouer and Rebentisch were awarded forfeits.

The third match with Lyman Memorial from Lebanon was the best of the day.

Law fell behind 3-0 before Justin Cortes was awarded a forfeit at 195 pounds. It was 9-6 Lyman Memorial when Opayemi gave Law the lead with a pin in 4:48 at heavyweight.

The non-league rivals kept trading wins, with Anderson (4-3 decision), Rebentisch (4-0 decision) and Berg (3:49 pin) giving Law a 22-21 lead.

It was 33-27 Law after Matt Grace (1:50 pin at 145) and Dan Ouelette (7-5 decision) posted wins, but Lyman Memorial pinned in the final two weight classes.
