Power play carries Milford to victory

The Milford boys ice hockey team improved to 8-5-0 on the season with a 5-1 victory over Lyman Hall/Haddam Killingworth at the Milford Ice Pavilion on Thursday.

Coach Sal Follo had the Indians’ power play working, as the locals’ Brandon Argyros, Colin DiPisa, Charles Knights and Jacob Comeau scored with the man advantage.

Mitchell Katrick’s even-strength goal came at the 11:44 mark of the third period, before the visitors tallied at 13:19 to snap the shutout.

Sean Rowland had 17 saves.

Brady Dennigan (two), DiPisa, Knights, Comeau (two) and Andrew Gobany had assists.
