Head coach Mitch Oliver from Milford’s Albertus Magnus College men’s basketball team defeated St. Joseph’s (Maine), 84-49, to win its third consecutive Great Northeast Athletic Conference championship at The Nest in New Haven on Saturday.
The Falcons improved to 26-2, with only one loss coming at the hands of a Division III opponent. They have won a nation-leading 41 straight home games.
Kyle Wiggins, a junior guard out of Jonathan Law, scored nine points on 3-for-3 shooting from behind the arc for the Falcons, who are ranked a program-best No. 14 in the nation. Seeding for the NCAA Tournament will be released Monday.
