The Milford Indians scored five goals in the first period and defeated Wilton High, 6-3, in boys hockey action at the Milford Ice Pavilion on Saturday.
Coach Sal Follo’s squad is 1-3. Wilton is 1-2.
Charles Knights and Jacob Comeau scored unassisted goals in the first three minutes, before Wilton got on the board with a power play goal at 4:39.
Brady Dennigan, from Knights, and Brandon Argyros, from Tommy Sampson and Luke Gibbs, made it 4-1.
Kyle McCormick scored for the Warriors, but David McLenithan, from Comeau, answered at 13:15.
After a scoreless second period, Wilton’s Kyle McCormick scored at 11:46.
Dennigan scored an empty net goal at 14:51 of the third.
Sean Rowland had 23 saves for Milford.
