Lauralton Hall lost a 7-0 decision to Masuk High in the  South-West Conference championship game in Stratford on Monday.

The Crusaders defeated Bunnell High, 8-1, in the semifinals earlier in the day.

Seeded seventh in Class M, Lauralton (16-3) will host Coginchaug (9-11) this afternoon.

Kaitlin Mingione held the Panthers (23-0) at bay for three innings, before the Panthers scored on a double steal in the fourth inning.

Melissa Peet led off the sixth with a home run to make it 2-0.

Masuk used a pair of hits, two walks (one intentional) and an error to plate five runs, three earned in the seventh.

Jess Napolitano, (third inning), Jackie Brewster (fourth) and Alex Moleski (seventh) had hits off Masuk game MVP Tatum Buckley, who struck out 10.
