Melissa Manning of Milford had 14 kills and 18 digs for the Albertus Magnus College women’s volleyball team in its five-set loss to Cobleskill in Chicopee, Mass. on Saturday.
A 5-7 junior outside hitter for the Falcons, Manning played scholastically at Foran High, where she helped coach Julie Johnson’s Lions to the state semifinals as a senior.
Manning, an English education major, registered 92 kills in 53 sets played during 15 matches before an injury cut short her sophomore year at Albertus.
She had a season-high 17 kills at Mitchell College and had three matches with 10 or more kills.
As a freshman, Manning played in all 20 matches with recorded 74 kills and 37 service aces.
