Lions lose split doubleheader

The Foran High baseball team lost a split doubleheader on Saturday, falling to Amity High 3-2 and losing to unbeaten Fairfield Prep 10-2.

Sam Olsson had two hits, including a double, and drove in a run for coach Garrett Walkers’ Lions (2-4) in the Amity (3-3) game.

Tyler Chacho had two hits to back the pitching of Matt Alicki. Tyler Kasuba, Josh Mixie and Nich Tuozzola had one hit each.

Against Prep (6-0), RJ Jackson homered to lead a seven-hit attack. Jackson added another hit and Olsson had a single, a double and an RBI.
