Lawmen draw with Dragons

The Jonathan Law boys soccer team played Hamden High to a 2-2 draw in Milford on Friday.

“After one of the slowest starts to a game since I’ve been in charge, we responded with an intense second half and we were fully deserving of the win,” Law coach Donato Piselli said.

“Unfortunately, things outside of our control did us in as Hamden converted the penalty kick that they were awarded in the final three minutes.

“To say we were shocked is an understatement, but as I said to the boys, ‘If we want to contend we must overcome situations such as these.’ It’s part of sports.”

Mike Chodziutko and Herbie Pritchard scored goals for the Lawmen (1-1-1). Pritchard has scored in all three games.

Jon Costa and Antonio Gjuraj had assists.

Jack Pincus-Coyle made six saves.
