Jonathan Law sent 13 batters to the plate in the bottom of the fourth inning, scoring seven runs in the process, and the Lawmen defeated visiting Foran High, 14-5, in a non-league baseball game on Saturday.
Foran took a 5-1 lead with three runs in the second inning and two more in the top of the fourth.
Frank Mucciacciaro singled to give Law a 6-5 lead in the middle of the seven-run rally. Evan Carolla added a run-scoring hit in the frame.
Law added five runs in the home sixth, with Carollo singling in one run and Mucciacciaro knocking home a pair.
Law went in front 1-0 in the first when Carollo’s sacrifice fly scored Mucciacciaro, who had led off the inning by reaching on an error.
Foran took the lead at 3-1 in the top of the second with Rob Lynch hitting a two-out, two-run single.
In the Lions’ fourth, Nick Tuozzola singled to put two runners aboard for Josh Mixie, who ripped a two-run double into the left field corner.
