The Jonathan Law wrestling team won three of four matches when coach Matt Schoonmaker’s Lawmen played host to Harding of Bridgeport, New Britain, Masuk from Monroe and New Canaan on Saturday.

Law (9-11) opened with the Harding Presidents and posted a 51-28 victory.

Tim Rebentisch (126 pounds), Sean Berg (132), Dan Ouelette (145), Matt Grace (152), Joe Coury (171), Justin Cortes (heavyweight) and Zach Anderson (106) won by fall.

Max German earned an 8-2 decision at 182 pounds and Tyler Francouer was awarded a forfeit in the match-opening 113-pound class.

Law defeated New Britain, 54-27, with Berg, Grace, Ouelette and Anderson pinning their opponents.

Masuk led Law 12-11 after two matches, before Ouelette and Coury both came back from large deficits to score pins. Law rode that momentum to a 62-18 victory.

Also winning by fall were German at 170, Kyle Krois at 182, Cortes at 195, Abe Ocak at heavyweight, Francouer at 106 and Rebentisch at 126.

Berg won by 16-0 technical fall and Rachel Escobar by 6-4 decision at 120.

New Canaan won 7-of-9 weight classes wrestled to score a 40-39 victory.

German had a pin in 1:20 at 170 pounds and Anderson won a 5-2 decision at 113.
