Law wrestlers defeat New Haven, 45-27

The Jonathan Law wrestling team defeated visiting New Haven, 45-27, on Tuesday.

Coach Matt Schoonmaker’s Lawmen are 5-10 overall and 1-0 in the SCC B Division. New Haven is 2-9, 0-1 SCC.

Dan Ouelette opened the match with a 15-13 decision at 152 pounds before New Haven posted a pair of pins to lead 12-3.

Max German won by 1:29 fall at 182 pounds and Kyle Krois was awarded a forfeit at 195 to put Law in front 15-12.

New Haven took the next two bouts, before Zach Anderson had a 10-6 decision at 106 pounds and Tyler Francouer won by forfeit at 113.

It was 27-24 New Haven when the Lawmen won the last four matches.

Tim Rebentisch began the run with a 2-0 decision at 126 pounds.

Sean Berg (3:32) and Jordan Betz (1:04) won by fall and Matt Grace by forfeit.
