The seventh-seeded Lauralton Hall softball team dropped a 4-3 decision to second-seeded Granby Memorial in the Class M quarterfinals on Friday.

Alexa Dawid hit a two-run double in the top of the seventh to tie the game for coach Theresa Napolitano’s Crusaders (19-5), but Granby’s Megan Nilson singled home the game-winner with two outs in the home half of the frame.

Granby (20-1) will meet sixth-seeded East Haven (20-3) in the semifinals.

Jackie Brewster had three hits, Jess Napolitano singled in a run in the third inning and Maureen Connolly had two hits and scored two runs.
