The Foran High girls cross country team placed ninth at the Southern Connecticut Conference Championships on the 5K (3.1 mile) course at East Shore Park in New Haven on Thursday.

Emma Cote was 25th in 21:32 and Jenna French 28th in 21:39 to lead coach Shannon Ramsey’s team.

Samantha Inthapanhya was 57th (23:11) and Catie Stiffler 65th (23:32).

Margaret Cummings was 67th (23:35), Meghan Dunn 83rd (24:30) and Kelly Strom 114th (27:27).
