Freshman Katelyn Konareski parlayed a commanding win in her heat of the 800 meters to an overall seventh place finish to highlight the Jonathan Law girls effort at the SCC meet at Amity High School.

Konareski ran a personal best 2:26.13 to win her heat by more than 20 meters, then watched her time stand up to take seventh overall.

Other top placers for Law were senior captain Shawna Winters, who took third in the discus with a toss of 103-feet-02, and the 400-meter relay team of Holly Caldwell, Rhea Grant, Jocelyn Wirth and Samara Thacker which finished fourth in 52.05

Thacker came back to finish seventh in the 100 in 12.92.

The Lady Lawmen finished with 16 points, placing them 13th in the meet, which was won by Hillhouse with 103.
