Justin Kassouf, Tim Maher choose colleges
The Milford Public Schools has announced that Tim Maher from Jonathan Law and Justin Kassouf from Foran High will continue to compete in athletics in college.
Maher, son of Gerry and Donna Maher,, has signed a National Letter of Intent to play Division I football at Wagner College in Staten Island, N.Y.
Maher intends to enter the school’s Physician Assistant program, a five-year course of study that is considered the precursor to medical school.
“I am so happy to be joining a program that is prestigious and competitive,” he said. “I love football and I love science, and Wagner will provide both. I can’t wait to get started.”
A four-year player at Law, Maher served as quarterback for the Lawmen and was one of the team’s captains this year.
Maher is a three-time SCC All-Academic award winner, and was named as an All-SCC player as a senior. He was also named to the All-State second team.
Kassouf, son of Scott and Kathleen Kassouf, has signed a National Letter of Intent to play soccer at East Stroudsburg University in East Stroudsburg, Pa.
Kassouf will be playing as a centerback for the Warriors in the fall. He plans to major in physical education.
“I am looking forward to meeting my new teammates and am grateful for the opportunity,” Kassouf said.
Kassouf has had an illustrious soccer career while at Foran. A four-year player, he was named to the All-SCC team for three years and was included on the MSG Varsity All-Connecticut team.
He also received the SCC All-Academic award for three years.
