Nick Costantini took first place in the pole vault at the SCC Championships on Friday, Feb. 1.

“Nick cleared 14 feet to win the event, and in the process broke his own school record for the fourth time this season,” Lion coach Pete Jambor said of his senior. “He is one of only three pole vaulters in the state to clear 14 feet.

“Senior Caleb Tondora placed fourth in the high jump, clearing six feet which also ties his personal best this season

“Brett Dumais is only a sophomore and placed fifth in the pole vault, clearing 11 feet.

“Thomas Kummer, another sophomore, qualified for the Class M state championships in the 1000-meter run, registering a time of  2:51.38.”
