High School lacrosse update

Jonathan Law girls

Jonathan Law defeated Lyman Hall, 17-9. Colleen Goodwin and Olivia Keator scored five goals each for coach Lynette Martinez’s squad. Laura Dennigan and Erin Goodwin each scored two goals. Kate McNellis, Andria Torres and Emily Tournas all had goals. Jonathan Law’s girls lacrosse team defeated Shelton High, 15-7, on Tuesday. The Lady Lawmen improved to 7-2 with a balanced attack. Olivia Keator (3 goals, 2 assists), Andria Torres (two goals, 4 assists), Laura Dennigan (2 goals), Emily Tournas (goal, 5 assists), Makayla Mai (goal), Colleen Goodwin (3 goals, 2 assists) and Jordyn Konlian (3 goals) led the way. Stella Patrick earned the win, as Law out shot Shelton 37-9. Jonathan Law lost a 16-15 shootout with Guilford. Leading the Lady Lawmen were Olivia Keator and Colleen Goodwin with four goals and four assists each. Andria Torres had three goals, Laura Dennigan two and Emily Tournas and Kate McBellis with one each.

Foran High boys

Foran High defeated Lyman Hall, 16-2. Coach Brian Adkins’ Lions are 6-6. The Trojans are 3-10. Will Mauro and Ethan McVoy each scored three goals.

Matt Davidson and Tyler Borer found the net twice. Jordan Lang, Max Tavitian, Andrew Janik, Nick DeBiase, Brian Flanagan and Logan Zahariades had goals. Teddy Mauro, Connor Elson, Will Mauro, Davidson, Lang and Tavitian had assists. Foran defeated Sheehan High, 16-7. Zac Cleary scored four goals and had an assist. Matt Davidson had three goals and an assist.

Ethan McVoy had two goals and three assists. Will Mauro and Nick DeBiase each had two goals and an assist. Max Tavitian had two goals and Andrew Janik one. Ryan DeMarco had 10 saves.

Foran High girls

The Foran High fell by a score of 14-7 to SCC rival Sacred Heart Academy. Emily Kwalek had two goals and Samantha O’Neill had a goal and an assist for coach John Connors’ Lions. Haley Byers, Eva Knudsen, Cassie Bennett and Bridget Collins all scored goals. Shea Phelan made eight saves and Chloe Oliver had four stops.
