Behind fourth-place finishes by senior captain Shawna Winters in the discus and freshman Katie Konareski in the 800 meters the Jonathan Law girls track and field team scored 12 points at Wednesday’s Class MM meet at Middletown High School.

The 12 points put Law 20th. Avon won the meet with 87 points.

Winters threw the discus 108-feet even.

Konareski ran 2:25.86.

In that same 800 run, fellow freshman Kaylee Brotherton took eighth place in 2:34.72.

Rounding out the scoring for Law was the 3,200-meter relay team, comprised of all freshmen.

Konareski, Midori Hughes, Hannah Rascoll and Brotherton ran 10:34.05 to take eighth.
