Girls track: Jonathan Law records fall in double win
Jonathan Law’s 4x100 relay team set a school record, and Kiara Smith made her mark in the 100-meter run, when the Eagles’ girls track team defeated Guilford and Wilbur Cross on Tuesday.
Coach Linwood’s Schulte’s team is now 10-6 on the season.
Olivia Steiner, Jessica Centore, Holly Caldwell and Smith ran a 49.9 in the 4x1.
Smith’s time of 12.6 in the 100 was good for another program best time. She also won the 200 in 26.5.
Law was first in the 4x800 (10:57) with Kailee Frank, Grace Wooton, Lauren Paredes and Madison Jennings teaming up.
Melanie Coleman won the triple jump at 34-1.
Alexandra Hessberger was best in the high jump (4-4).
Shawna Winters took first in the discus (111-9).
Keala Hoff placed first in the shot put (32-9).
