The Foran High girls soccer team scored a pair of second half goals to draw 2-2 with host Jonathan Law in an SWC match on Wednesday.

Yasmina Lingane made it 2-1 for coach Casey Blake’s Lions at 30:16 of the second half.

Mikayla Duhaime knotted the game less than two minutes later.

Cassandra Bennett had both assists.

“The girls put their foot on the accelerator in the second half,” Blake said. “We didn't let being down to Law at the half get us down.

"We came together as a team and were relentless on the field. It was beautiful to watch. I'm so proud of this team and the way we battled tonight.”

Law’s Samara Thacker, assisted by Taylor Kandrach, gave coach J.D. Rhode’s club a 1-0 lead early in the contest.

Jocelyn Wirth made it 2-0 with a sterling individual effort in the 28th minute.

“Today’s tie felt like a loss,” Rhode said. “To go up (2-0) in the first half and lose the lead is tough.

"All the credit goes to Foran and the changes Coach Blake made. They came into the second half ready to challenge and fight.”

Madeline Mitchell (first half) and Abigail Lucas (second half) had 16 saves for Foran, which improved to 5-5-5.

Jillian Hall had 10 saves for the Lady Lawmen, now 10-2-3.

Foran will end its regular season when Lyman Hall visits on Thursday at 6:15 p.m.

The Lions qualified for states with their 2-1 win over Branford last Saturday

Jonathan Law is home to Wilbur Cross Thursday at 4:30.

They are already a wild-card entry in the SCC playoffs and are currently seeded sixth in Class L.
