The Foran High girls basketball team opened its season with a 48-43 victory over Lauralton Hall in the Edna Fraser Gymnasium on Tuesday.

Coach Bob Asmussen’s Lions trailed the visiting Crusaders, 33-32, entering the fourth quarter.

Sam Inthapanhya made all six of her free throws down the stretch to lead Foran to victory.

Jasmine Lord and Inthapanhya led Foran with 13 points each.

Senior center Emma Lucas contributed six points and eight rebounds.

Lauralton’s Julia Sendzik scored 21 points.
