Jasmine Lord and Mia Tunucci each scored 12 points when Foran High defeated host Branford, 53-44, on Monday night.
Coach Bob Asmussen’s Lions doubled up the Hornets (16-8) in the opening period and took a 26-13 lead into the locker room.
Sam Inthapanhya had 11 points, Courtney Musante eight, Lauren Heenan seven and Bridget Collins three.
Tunucci had 13 rebounds and blocked four shots.
Lord had nine boards and made five steals.
Foran is now 9-5. The Lions were 16-of-17 shooting from the free-throw line.
Eight of Branford’s 14 baskets came from three-point range. The Hornets are 7-7.
