Foran High lost to Shelton High, 10-9, in an SCC girls lacrosse game on Thursday.

The game, played in Milford, was to raise awareness about the dangers of drugs and alcohol addiction and to raise money to support the Milford Prevention Council. The team raised over $1800.

Scoring goals for coach Jack Connors’ Lions (5-5) were Taylor Wisniewski (three), Julia Astram (two), Kiara Kanlong (two), Eva Knudsen and Hannah Pouliot.

Shelton (4-6) was led by Jill Ortoli with four goals and Nicole Roberts with two.

Foran’s Shea Phelan made six saves.
