The Foran High girls soccer team lost a 2-1 decision to Woodland Regional in a Class M first round state tournament game on Nov. 4.
Third-seeded Woodland (14-3-0) took a 1-0 lead on a goal by Savannah Aviz with 34 minutes remaining.
Cassondra Zak tied the game for coach Casey Blake’s 30th-seeded Lions (5-9-3) in the 50th minute, but Aviz tallied the winner just a minute later.
Carly Pala made 13 saves for Foran. Jenna Pannone had 14 saves for Woodland.
