The Foran High boys soccer team defeated Coginchaug High from Durham, 4-1, in boys soccer action on Monday.
Cedrick Lingane scored in the 7th minute to give coach Rick DiStefano’s Lions the lead.
Foran upped the margin to 3-0, as Leandro Jorge (49th minute) and Jake Kubic (53rd minute) found the back of the net.
After Coginchaug’s Alex Bogan scored unassisted in the 58th minute, Lingane garnered his second goal with four minutes remaining.
Kyle Greenspan, Jimmy Cronin, Jorge and Claudio Dos Santos had the assists.
Prashant Patel made 6 saves for Foran (1-5).
The Lions will play at Jonathan Law on Tuesday, Sept. 23, at 6:30.
