The Foran High girls volleyball team defeated Branford High, 3-0 (25-20, 25-19, 25-16) in the first round of the SCC playoffs on Saturday.
Jenna Zacarelli had 41 assists for coach Julie Johnson’s sixth-seeded Lions (15-5), who will visit third-seeded Mercy High in Middletown at 5:30 on Tuesday.
