The Foran High football team made short work of its host Trinity Catholic on Saturday, as coach Jeff Bevino’s Lions beat the Crusaders from Stamford 42-14.

Zach White returned the opening kickoff for 83 yards and a touchdown to ignite a 28-point first quarter by the Lions, who are 3-2 on the season.

Stephen Longley scored from 13 yards out and Nick Weissauer ran for the two-point conversion. Jake Kasuba threw for the first of his three touchdowns when he hooked up with Sean Deegan on a 48-yarder.

Sam Olsson made the first of four straight PATS to increase the lead to 21-0.

Connor Cadrin was next to find paydirt, as he caught a 29-yard touchdown pass and opened the scoring in the second period with a 6-yard run.

Weissauer gave Foran a 42-0 lead at the half when he hauled in a 5-yard pass from Kasuba.

Trinity Catholic (0-5) scored on a 99-yard pass and an 8-yard run in the third quarter.
